About the Teacher
I have been teaching English for eight years. Teaching is a second career for me. I am proud to say that I am a Level 5 teacher based on my students' state assessment scores (TVAAS). I've received several nominations by students and parents for Who's Who Among America's High School Teachers, The Cambridge Who's Who, and Who's Who Among America's Professional Women and Educators. I'm a member of Kappa Delta Pi, which is an International Honor Society for Educators. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Arts in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis. I also have an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business and Commerce Management from State Technical Institute of Memphis. This summer, I completed the Administrative Leadership Program at Christian Brothers University where I earned my Principal Licensure to become an Administrator. My hobbies include writing, volleyball, tennis, cooking, and long walks in the park in Autumn while watching the trees shed their beautifully colored leaves. Currently, I'm finishing up a movie script that I hope to have produced into a Hollywood blockbuster film. Over the past few years, I've also been writing two books. One is about education; the other is about relationships. I hope to get around to publishing them sometime in the future. Additionally, I hope to open my own restaurant one day. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to make a difference in your student's life!
